Any on here using horse manure and having bad results?

Tesco's, Iceland, Lidl and Aldi's have all had bad results quite recently. 
Only when it's been to fresh.
If straw-based it may have traces of selective weedkiller.
Is that what you meant?
I prefer the wood-shavings bedding, doesn't smell unpleasant and is far easier to handle, makes a nice mulch. Also is a good source of slightly used bailer twine and slow-worms.

It needs to rot down for a year or so whatever you use. If there is any weedkiller in there it will be well gone by the time you use it. Prefer the straw variety myself, wood chip muck seems to be "unbalanced" with too much carbon in there. Good stuff does wonders for your soil.
Yes that's the one john,the weedkiller may be entering the food chain if own grown food is eaten as the fruits/veg have been coming out really mishaped or not even bearing fruit.

I threw my toms out last yrs a good few kilo of them, a dozen plants i think.
All the plants had "clawing" leaves all through growth, usually a sign of over feeding.
I never fed them once, the toms looked fine, but weirdly, no shine like a tom does, but really "flat" as though needing a t-cut job? and the insides where nearly solid.
I believe it was the soil bought from bq, i have always used their stuff and it's been fine for ten yrs.I know new peatbog rules have changed.
I would say their product has had contact or mixed with some of this dodgy stuff.
