Gas cooker installed incorrectly

In the first of the photos we can see a blanked-off electrical outlet; the “tidy” way to do the electrics would be to use that for the cooker’s plug, if it’s suitable. But it’s obviously more work.

Not only more work, bit outside the permitted scope of most RGI's. It is in a kitchen, and, besides, I understand that if you do electrical work of that nature one must then conduct relevant tests on the installation? I have neither the equipment or certification to carry that out. I, therefore, never do paid electrical work on the "hot" side.
