New to the gas industry, can anyone out there help with my query?
I have a fire to disconnect tomorrow, what I want to know is how do I blank off the gas after the isolation valve,as the customer is getting a new fireplace, then I'm going back to reconnect the same fire.Which type of fitting would be appropriate, blanking plug?stop end?tapered fitting,am really not sure.
Closing the isolation valve alone is not enough I believe if I disconnect from the main that I still have to blank the end of the pipe,so as not to leave an "open end".They didnt teach me everything on my NVQ,its a constant learning curve
[/b]What size fitting etc, thanks for any help
