Good morning ,
I was wondering if anyone could identify this gas fire.
Its approx 6 years old but has no data plate or ident mark on it and im trying to get a manufactures manual for it.

Thanks for your help.

Have you checked by the meter in case the fitter left the fitting instructions there?

Check behind the silver trim around the fire, sometimes the data plate is there. The trim is usually just held on with magnets

Hi and Thankyou,

unfortunatley nothing behind the trim and nothing by the meter. The original fitter left no instruction and the company who supplied the fire has since gone bust and restarted an identical company but refuses to acknowledge any thing to do with the fire.

At a loss really of what to do. The owner wants british gas to supply him with a service contract but have said they want nothing to do with the gas fire unless it has 2 faults rectified and a manual present.
They'll probably condemn it in a year anyway and sell him a new one.

Sorry but I think that says it all, replace the darn thing with one from a well known manufacturer and mark it up to experience

Bit confused here, mate. Why are you pratting around sorting out a fire when they are going to dump you and go with BG?

In any case BG are useless with fires, IME.

But if you wish to proceed - what is the name of the new firm? What are the 2 faults?

EDIT: Sorry, just realised this is in the public forum. But really, don;t sign a BG contract, especially for a fire. Find a local independent EXPERIENCED with fires. The BG contracts only cover an annual service. If it DOES cover parts, it will carry an excess of £50 or £99, I believe. If the fire parts are no longer officially available, they won;t cover parts anyway!
