Gas Hob

Hello all

I am in the process of re-doing my kitchen and would like to place my gas hob on top of a cement slab (which is now my work surface). Is there a way of building a "frame" to lift my hob?? I don't want to cut out a hole as this will mean that I will have more walls preventing counter stools from being stored below the slab!! Many thanks for the help.
