Hi All
I wanted to share and ask registered gas engineers their opinions and what they would have done regarding a situation that I'm sure is all too common. I was at a friends a few nights ago and they have had a lot of restoration works done to their home. Just before leaving I noticed an uncapped floor mounted gas cock for an old fire place in one of their living rooms that they are using for storage. The fire had been removed by the builders and the tap had been shut off, but could easily have been knocked by one of their kids. I didn't have my van or tools on me and before I state what I did I was wondering what other engineers would do in this situation? This is more of a general question as to how engineers approach situations in friends houses, I'm fairly new to the gas industry.
Thanks
