Gas pipe running along the garage ceiling.

Hi everyone,
Need advice if I need to get an gas engineer to refit a new pipe?
Attached photos show the gas pipe running along the garage ceiling (recently took it off).
Need to put a new ceiling but the gas pipe is sagging a bit in the middle. There were no clips to hold it in place hence i'm not sure if i need to a new straight pipe?

Don't want to disturb it while putting up the new ceiling.

Goes up to the inside wall then down and into it to the meter on the other side.

This is the sagging bit. Approx 1.5cm to 2cm

That looks a quality job.
Not a clip in sight, and a nice handy joist right next to it to clip it to.
That's easily remedied but the bad news is that gaspipe looks too small to be supplying your boiler in the loft, I'm guessing it's a combi.

By taking the old one off, you already have.

Bet it's not sleeved where it passes through the walls?

Oh dear! no clips, not sleeved through block! Get it sorted!

Its probably not clipped cos it was fed under the floor, don't know how anyone can tell its the wrong size without seeing the whole job, also can't tell if its sleeved from your pics. Get a quote to put right or clip it yourself.

I agree with gigz, clip it yourself, probably get clips in pack of 5 or 10 from DIY shop

And pipe hasnt sagged it will be where someone has bent it to push a full length through

Disagree with that, it looks like it's been pushed through from outside.
You can see where the brick is blown if you look carefully.
He'd have still lifted a board or 2 up the other end anyway to connect so why not put a clip on? Or lift a board or 2 more along the length and do it right? He hasn't even clipped the vertical section up the wall ffs.
As for looking too small, it looks like 22, the boiler's in the loft, if it's a combi it's a knocking bet it's too small.

if it was going to sag it would sag in the middle not 2 foot from the end which looks like a clear bend but will leave you with your thoughts on it .

Found the pipe going through the wall isn't sleeved as well.
Will be getting hold of a local gas safe engineer to take a look.

Looks a pretty simple problem to deal with.

Best to get it looked at with a boiler service.
