I am trying to plan for new domestic gas installation.

There is an existing supply and meter outside the house withg a fiberglass lift off cover. There is a test point within the house close to the meter.

To facilitate some building work, it would be convenient to have the test point relocated within the meter cabinet. There is space available within the cabinet.

Is there any reason why this can't be done?

Thank you.

There's a test point on the meter itself. No need for another point close to the meter. What you on about?

Yes, there is a test point on the meter. Sorry I had not seen it before. Begs the question why there is one inside the house? I will post a photo when I next visit the house.
Thank you.

Are you the owner or doing the gas?

FiremanT, Owner thank you.
I had planned many aspects of new building work, some of which require moving the existing gas supply within the house.
The job has now been completed. The gas installer could not understand why there was an extra test point which he has removed.
Thank you for your replies.
