Gate Piers/Boundary Wall in the Greenbelt

I have purchased a few acres of agricultural land within the greenbelt with the intention of building stables and keeping and grazing horses there. The pre-application was found to be very likely to be granted by the planning department.

We wish to build a gate entrance consisting of 4 brick gate piers measuring a maximum of 1.9m. Would planning permission be required for these, they don’t adjoin a public road as the roadway to the site is privately owned by ourselves.

Thanks for your help, does this guidance relate in the same way to Greenbelt agricultural land as it does to development within the curtilage of a dwelling house.

I think 'green belt' is a 'red herring' in this instance

Your council should have a specific policy regarding development in the "green belt" or other special areas.
