Hya everyone, I have a ford fiesta o8 plate 1.2 zetec. 63,000 on clock. my problem is that every so often going 1st to 2nd the gearstick seems to get stuck and a good shake frees it. worried.

Could be a few reasons why this happens.
Clutch not disengaging fully, although I'd expect problems in other gears if this was the case.
The gear change linkage might need adjustment.
The gearbox oil might need topping up or replacing. I've had this problem on a couple of cars.
