The last thing we want is an unhealthy health secretary. Tis a bit worrying that the whole Cabinet have been exposed and just goes to show how infectious this bugger is.

Yes get well soon Matt.

Ps Matt: are you going to share that £32k backhander you got from IEA a brexit misinformation think tank.

"Between them, Neil Record, chair of the IEA’s board of trustees since 2015, and fellow IEA trustee since July 2005, Sir Michael Hintze, have given a total of £166,000 in cash or hospitality to 30 MPs and £4.3 million to the Conservative party since 2002.

Between 2010 and 2017, prior to his appointment as health secretary, Matt Hancock accepted £32,000 in funding from Neil Record"

It's a total forkin' joke.

Practice what you preach, fellas!

I wish them all a speedy recovery along with everyone else. I also wish Notchy would look up the definition of backhander. :D

come on, be fair... lets wish Boris we soon too.
I wonder if his GF has had to leave him as she is preggers?

THe chancellor will be next and then we won't get our dosh... we are all screwed I tell ya, screwed..... the end is nigh.

I wish you would look past your Telegraph blinkers.

You can call it what you like, backhander is what it amounts to.

Matt hancock got paid £32k for doing fuk all.
You can try and make it sound acceptable, but lets call it what it is: a backhander, a sweetener, a load of dough for doing nothing.

The reality is what counts
The reality is Tory MPs are getting money for doing no work, that means they are acting in the interests of the people paying them money NOT in the best interests of this country.

I also wish Notchy would look up the definition of backhander

And here is a few more Tories getting backhanders or have vested interests in flogging the NHS:

Matt Hancock: "£32,000 from Neil Record, who just so happens to be the Chairman of the Institute for Economic Affairs (IEA)."

Dominic Raab "co-authored a pamphlet that advocated increased privatisation of the NHS,"

Jeremy Hunt "Received £32,920 from hedge fund baron Andrew Law, a major investor in healthcare firms"

Liam Fox: "Received £5,000 from investment company IPGL Ltd, who purchased healthcare pharma company Cyprotex

Sajid Javid "Received £11,000 from Moundsley Healthcare Ltd last year."

Penny Mordaunt "worked for lobbying firm Hanover, where she had a range of healthcare clients."

Priti Patel "Worked for lobbying firm Weber Shandwick, which does PR for big healthcare and pharmaceutical firms"

John Redwood "Advised the private equity company which runs Pharmacy2u, the UK’s largest dedicated internet and mail order pharmacy."

Amber Rudd "Received £3,000 from hedge fund baron Andrew Law, a major investor in healthcare firms."

Matthew Elliott "is the founder of the Taxpayers Alliance – which has long argued for the break-up of the NHS and private competition in healthcare."

Peter Bone thinks the NHS should be forced to open up to US companies in the infamous TTIP trade deal. Link here.

Nigel Farage “We need to move to an insurance-based system of healthcare

Tory MPs have an interest in flogging NHS contracts because they personally make lots of money out it.
Its a conflict of interest, its a backhander.

peter mandleson will be receiving a £1 million pay off from brussels etc etc.. a long list of millionaires on the eu gravy train.

Makes sense. My work colleagues brother just had a hernia a few weeks ago.
Waiting list was 2 years down the line.
He paid £5k and had the operation last week. Just in the nick of time as the clinic was being turned over for corona treatment.

The waiting list is irrelevant when you have the money. EIther its your own or the insurance companies.
Using other peoples money is becoming less viable as their is no magic money tree.
