Getting carpet up then putting it back

Got some squeaky floorboards that I plan to put screws in to stop this annoying noise. Is it simple enough to get the carpet up then put it back?

When you put it back down again, make sure you go up to the edge. Or the council will claim it to be theirs.

That looks too good to be a council house You can take carpet up but it'll not go back any sense without a carpet fitter with his knee/ kick stretcher.
