How bad is this. Anyone with any sense knows that the inner conductor of co-ax is the live signal.......

You will be telling us next that the other end of the co-ax had a very high gain aerial taking power from the local TV transmitter, electrical power with built in soaps I suppose.....

did they not realise a double outlet is only rated 13 amps combined so you should not run a washer and dishwasher from the same double outlet, but each should have their own dedicated outlet because they are high current appliances.

I like how the braiding was the live conductor.

Probably (and I may be doing the 'installer' a disservice here) because Live does all the work and the neutral only has to take the unused electricity back to the power station.

So I bet in their mind it was the obvious thing to do.

Frightening though, I suspect good coax would use a 1.5mm solid conductor for the core (maybe 1.0mm) so although hugely dangerous, I guess it only got slightly warm in operation - even with both appliances on.

Just measured some. 1.00mm diameter = 0.78mm^2

I wonder how many of Joe public realise this?
