Toasty, the heat exchanger has four unions on it with rubber seals. These are easily screwed off. Gledhill plate heat Xs tend to have scaling in the DHW side in hard water areas. Although the flexing of the plates usually prevents major build ups. The more square type of plates tend to flex more rather than the long thin pates Gledhill use. On the primary side, very little crud tends to get in as the water is taken off the store at the top.

The plate has male BSP connections and if you can get some fittings to screw on these but a mains pressure hose through it.

You will need to put in the correct amount of inhibitor. Try the sensors first before looking at the plate.
