I spilled gloss paint on the bottom 2 stairs in my hallway a little while ago. I've not had any luck finding any off cuts in my local carpet shop, and am not sure how to resolve it. I don't really want to replace the carpet on all the stairs as it extends into my hallway, which is one of the largest areas in my flat!!
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Apart from being more careful with paint in the future, I'd say strip the carpet from ALL your stairs, and paint them instead.

Lots of luv, LP

Have you got accidental damage on your house insurance. I got a new carpet when someone left a hot iron laying on it!! Worth trying to make a claim if you can't match carpet.

I will check for accidental damage on my policy - thank you!

Eddie M - ok, so its technically a "split level maisonette", 1st floor, own front door, that kind of thing, so stairs up to 1st floor & then some between the kitchen area & living areas. :D
