I noticed water leaking from the underside of my condenser central heating system (Glow Worm Unit). The drips form on the 90 degree bend of the PVC pipe which I have since found out is the drain pipe. I got a plumber out and he stripped the boiler and cleaned out the small plastic box that the water goes into before it disappears into the plastic drain pipe. He said it was full of scale which had caused a blockage. A few weeks later and the dripping is back. I have stripped out the plastic box and gave it a clean, [there was water (a few mm deep) sitting in the bottom of the boiler panel], poured water into the plastic drain pipe to make sure it wasn't blocked and generally looked for any other obvious signs - nothings. I put it all back together and hey presto after a short period of operation the leak is back. As I have cleaned the plastic box the condensing water is collected in and checked the waste pipe for blockages by pouring water into it to see if it overflows I'm at a loss as to what next to do? Can anyone please advise; a - Is there anything I can re-check before calling a plumber in? b - Could the source be the heat exchanger and what evidence would I see? c - HELP please
