I have a Climapro RF with an Ultracom 24 hxi. The Climapro worked fine for 3years but then developed the intermittent fault reported in various posts, that is the controller and receiver lose contact , the boiler reverts to continuous operation limited only by the boiler stat, and the house and water get VERY HOT. The controller and ‘receiver’ re-pair if brought within about 2 m and stay paired at that distance. If then moved to the usual operating distance (about 9 m) they stay paired for anything between 15 mins and a few hours before losing coms – I guess sometimes they would continue to stay paired much longer but I don’t want to wake up in a whole house sauna again so don’t trust it!
My questions
1) Does anyone know how to fix it? Glow-worm technical suggest living with it! or that the receiver is probably faulty
2) Does the Climapro 2 RF have the same problem?
3) Is the Climapro 2 RF as user unfriendly as it seems? Five, or is it six, correct button prods just to adjust the temperature 0.5 degrees seems complex
