Hi

I've got a Glow worm Compact 100P. Everything works, but the boiler takes a long time to fire up after a tap is switched on, or after the room stat calls for heat.

I'm thinking air pressure switch. Any other suggestions, before I set to, I'm not a professional boiler man.

Thanks

Howard

Whatever you are thinking we are not allowed to give advice on gas related DIY work on an open forum.

The best advice is to check what you can do like measuring the thermisters and then call a coimpetent gas registered engineer.

does it respond to the demand instantly when you open a tap? ie does fan/pump run? if not could be a lazy water valve, which would usually be a new diaphragm, very easy job. If its post fan operation that it takes time then you will need an RGI.

There's no Diverter valve or Diaphragm in a Compact. it has a 4 pipe heat exchanger, if it is slow to fire up on hot watewr or heating then it will be an issue with the combustion side and has been said the only advice is to get a registered gas service engineer in ;)
