Hi, how would you rate this boiler?
If you had a choice which boiler would you install in your own home?
If you sign a contract with bg in your own home to replace your boiler do you have the 7 day cooling off period to get out of contract.

Not many installers would choose that boiler to install unless it was the only one that would fit.

I think that you have a cancellation period and that should be shown on the small print on the BG Contract. Probably seven days.

Thanks, an old chap i know has signed, £4990 to remove ideal minimiser from kitchen,hwsv and replace with one of these in airing cupboard where hwsv is now. External wall, original heating /hot water terminates/originates in airing cupboard. Mains cold passes thro to f/e and cold water store in loft. Immersion electrics available in airing cupboard. Gas supply will need capping in kitchen and routing outside 5 meters. Internal drain available for condensate within 2 meters.

My rule of thumb quote comes to £2240 ! But that does not include thermostatic radiator valves which should really be fitted with a new boiler!

BG are always going to be at least £1000 more than an independent!

Many people prefer to use BG because they know that they are going to get any complaints dealt with!

BG also have extended credit arrangements which some people think thsy need.

Cancel within 28 days for no charge! I would quote £2750, with all new trv's and a magnaclean for that and still make a reasonable profit. The flexicom is a cheap but reasonable boiler, it is sold to BG for around £350. Find a local independant with a good reputation and you will get a better job done for far less money.
