Greetings,

Can any of you helpful plumbers tell me what the function of this valve is?

After bleeding all me rads, my system pressure fell below its minimum.

Topped the system up via the filling loop which feeds into this valve, but noticed some "leakage" from what looks like a drain-port on the underside of this valve.

All appears OK again now, but just wanna know if that should've happened?

Cheers in advance,

JHFC.

Common fault with this make of boiler, the built in filling loop seems to leak while you are refilling but will stop when you turn it off.

 Yeah...I guess I could've phrased it better.

So...is it worth replacing the reduced pressure zone valve & filling loop assembly...or am I better off just keeping a bucket handy?
