Glowworm 35f - is it repairable!?

Hi,

I have just bought a house which has a Glow Worm 35f boiler. I am told the boiler is quite old and this one is in quite a state, with apparent water leakage inside.

However, a plumber has taken a look and there are signs of life... The only thing is, to test the boiler a case is required (the current one is missing). I have tried numerous boiler spares places (no reply from Glowworm) with no luck as yet but wondered if anyone either happened to have a case or might know where to locate one!?

I doubt very much that you will locate one, unless you very luckily bump into somebody who has just removed an old one.

Bite the bullet and get a new boiler.

Hopefully you will have negotiated the purchase price down with the vendor to cover replacing the boiler anyway.
