Ok, Captn Tom, you can stop now, you're making me feel bad, as you're exposing me for the inadequate individual that I clearly am.

Top top man...

I do think the media need to give the guy a break. He's been on both the BBC and ITV this morning.

I don't know - he may be enjoying his fame! Seems to take it in his stride anyway :-)

The other day a homeless man asked me for some change so I got my wallet out and realised I only had a £20 note
I thought to myself.. "Do I really want this money being spent on drugs?"

I decided I didn't so I gave him the money

Should have asked for change. Like that Ricky gervais sketch in extras.

You should have asked him first. Unfortunately servicemen end up homeless as they find it hard to transition from army life to home life which causes troubles and splits.

I wouldn't be too quick to judge.

I'm surprised someone hasn't popped along to point out that the platform off-shores its tax liabilities and will be taking £400K in fees on the above.

Obviously you’ve not donated. If you had, you would have seen the message that there are no fees being taken from this. Instead, donators are being asked to pay towards the processing. I paid 50p (5%) on top of my tenner. That was the minimum you could pay so they will be earning a minimum of £650,000 on 13 mil.

I did but I don't read things.

Then you wouldn't have seen that you paid more than your donation. The default charge was 15% the cheeky ****ers! Then again, what’s the alternative if you wanted to donate - post a cheque to the captain? At least they’re sorting out the gift aid which would be a faff if you tried to do that yourself.
