Gorton and Denton

Mottie, the streets of Gorton are like that now, the damage has already been done. The mistake in that picture is the two people....you rarely see white folk in Gorton. A couple of junkies like those will have long since been displaced and be living rough around the city centre. Junkie tooth loss happens after junkie home loss usually. The houses are now full of foreign dole-drawers and drug dealers, hence the vote for the Greens.
What's all this about?

The hell hole of red brick buildings at the start of that clip is a place called Longsight, which is next to Gorton. It is a stone's throw from Rusholme, where your little Spline was born. It was a normal, grubby part of Manchester in the 50s and 60s. Plenty of churches and pubs. There were always immigrants (in my living memory) mostly of the harmless Irish variety. The decline started in the 70s with the West Indians, and the place quickly became a drug-infested, gangland hell. Since Blair, the Irish and Carribeans are nowhere to be seen, the place has very quickly become an exclave of Pakistan. A white blonde woman like Hannah Spencer would never go there in a million years. Wetherspoons opened a pub some years ago, just near where she was standing. It didn't last long....

Seems like the good folk of G&D have higher standards. Poor Splineless can't get over it: the Greens whupped their ass!

Is this a typical part of Gorton. I just chose it at random:

Yes they did, promising white people stuff. Some of it in direct contrast to the brown people stuff they promised in Urdu.

Can you show us examples of these?

Yes, I know that would mean you breaking the habit of a lifetime, but you never know - you might find it liberating to deal in truth and facts for once.

No, as you're not worth it.

It happened, obviously. They're a split-personality contradictory mess, promising everyone whatever they want to hear. It will all fall apart, probably sometime around the time the muslim blokes start telling the ex-plumber to stick a bag over her head.

@King Billy

The Urdu version of the Green Party's campaign broadcast for the Gorton and Denton by-election (February 2026) differed from standard English-language materials by focusing heavily on specific foreign policy issues and international leaders to appeal to the local Muslim and Pakistani-heritage community.

Key differences included:

Specific Visual Imagery: The Urdu video featured footage of

Keir Starmer shaking hands with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (who is unpopular among many in the Pakistani community) and David Lammy shaking hands with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

These images were used to argue that mainstream politicians "aren’t working for us".

Targeted Messaging on Gaza: Unlike general English broadcasts that might cover a wide range of Green policies (like climate or rail), the Urdu materials explicitly called on voters to "punish Labour for Gaza".

Direct Attacks on Reform UK: The broadcast linked Reform UK's candidate and leadership to Donald Trump, Steve Bannon and footage of ICE deportation raids in the United States. One segment even superimposed a Nazi salute over images of Bannon.

How many times will you right-wingers make claims then flatly refuse to present any evidence.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:
There's refusing and there's just not caring.

Someone could say the sky's blue and you or one of your other IDs would demand evidence as proof.

Obviously I'm not going to go hunting for evidence of the bleeding obvious like I'm someone's google monkey.
