Governments vehicle enquiry app.

It's an app you download, type in the reg no and make and it will tell you if it's taxed and mot'd.

If I'm waiting around I'll do it with vehicles in the vicinity to while away time, you'll be suprised.
I always am, the ones you'd suspect to bd dodgy are ok and the ones you would expect to be all legit are sometimes not ! newish vehicles too !

What possible point is there to this app, other than to encourage the public to do the police's job for them?

Perhaps the next app with be a benefit claimant checker and TV licenced address checker, to get us into the swing of snooping on each other.

Well it helped us to get a dumped car in the neighbourhood removed and if your in a bump you can check the legitimacy of the other car ........might

That's a use, but a tenuous minor use to the main snooping function.

The Council can sort the dumped car out, and of you have a bump the insurers deal with the other party.

We suspected it was dumped and the app confirmed it .......no one would have known otherwise, yeah if the other cars insured you'll be ok but not insured taxed or motd this will allow you fast to know whether your in an ok situation or not .........don't want to use it don't ........I'd rather have it to check things out.
