I have just attached my new Towerchron QE2 (hot water/heating programmer) to the old DP 72 backplate. I have followed instructions for setting up my own timed programmes. Currently neither the hot water nor the heating is on, both show the arrow pointing to Timed and neither show the bars that indicate they are on. The slider is set to "Run own programme"

However, there is a red light above the hot water button which according to the instructions (if I have understood them correctly) means the hot water is working. Is this normal or have I done something wrong?

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

I have just discovered why the water is showing a red light - I had it set for OFF at 10pm instead of 10am - the screen is hard to read where the programmer is positioned, so I will have to take more care in future.

It is now correctly programmed and the red light is off.

Hope no one spent any time on this, apologies if you have.

Alfonso
