grant euroflame 90/120 expansion vessel leaking

my friend has an oil fired boiler and there is a black rusty looking discharge coming out of the side of the vessel

looking at the vessel it looks as if you simply unclip it , splitting it in half and put in a new seal ................ however without blowing myself up is it best to replace the whole thing and some websites hint the vessel has been updated from 10 to 12 litres.

At £52 I dont think its too bad and could I DIY ?

also would this drop the pressure every 2 to 3 days

New vessel needed. It's likely the one in the boiler is not big enough for the system. Better to fit one external to the boiler, and cap off the internal connection.
