Time for a proper service.
In over 20 years of servicing I've only ever replaced 1 set of RDB electrodes and that was because the boiler and flueways had never been cleaned out and they burnt the composite holder.
Is it really running on 35 sec diesel? Most domestic heating boilers run on 28 sec Kerosene. If it is running on 35 sec, it really needs a professional eye.

You would not get MY professional eye to look at it using 35 sec!!

Looks like you might have to pay for labour as well as parts this time, boiler has been neglected by the sound of it.
