Grant Votex Oil Boiler

Hi

I have a Grant Vortex Oil boiler which is only 2 years old.

This morning the boiler didn't heat the water or radiators and still have 3/4 full tank of oil.

I looked at the boiler and the red reset button was not lit but i remembered the installer saying about the Overheat Reset button so i removed the black cap and pressed this button and boom boiler fired no problem as I have the Hive system so thermostat temp had to be increased.

Why does this happen? Should this happen often?

checked the pressure its at 1.2 bar all good

its the Grant Vortex external 26/36 boiler if i can remember
