Hi

This boiler is due to be fitted to an existing system in the next two weeks.

I have just read on here about a heat exchanger being blocked by sludge and crap in the pipes.

What should we do as far as trying to clear the system before this happens to us. Is the acid additive and inhibitor enough or should i do more?

If you're a bit handy, hire a power flushing rig and give it a good oldseeing to with the old boiler removed!

As an installer, I always include a powerflush in my price for a boiler replacement. I take it you installer has not?

Sentinel X800 is quite strong. Fernox DS40 is about the strongest, but could find leaking joints you didn't know you had
