Hi

I noticed that through the course of time a green crusty substance is forming on the chrome plated towel rail fittings which are part of my CH system.

It is forming right at the point where the chrome plated copper pipe goes through into the chrome plated compression fitting.

It is a green crusty substance which is easily cleaned away with a drop of white spirit.

Is this what is called verdigrease ? I have no loss of system pressure and so I am sure that the fitting is not weeping ?

Any help / advice / comments as to what this substance is would be much appreciated.

verdigris  copper corrosion- nowt` to worry about.
