Green flux on 18 month old pipe, corrosive?

So basically with the other piccies (showing more green i have found after properly looking) we are still saying the same, nothing to be concerned about- bit of a sloppy job but just clean it?

The stuff on the top was thicker, i have cleaned a bit off and the copper just looks a bit black underneath.

Clean it off using a green nylon pan scourer and water with a bit of washing up liquid. Polish away the residue with a cotton rag.

Have a look in a few weeks. If any if the joints are leaking you will see new marks, they will be easy to spot on the clean bright metal.

If they are, they need repair.

You might do better with someone who works to a higher standard.

Thanks John, to be honest it was the gas pipe i was worried about since gas leaking is so dangerous, i have cleaned some of the water pipes and will do more tomorrow
