Our boiler normally behaves as it should but last night my wife switched the boiler to automatic as we normally do but for some reason it will not go to automatic but remains on even although the switch is in automatic mode
We now have a boiler that we can switch on or off and works ok but would like it to switch itself on in the morning.
Hope this is understandable, any ideas would be much appreciated.

you need to change it! easy to do you can DIY. i would get the digital version, part no ends 665-0. they never go wrong! the mt10 is a low cost budget timer! best of luck!

Thank you BD, it would now appear that the clock is unreliable in that it now works (but for how long?) the digital version you mention, where would I get hold of one (approx. price) and who are the makers.

go on the worcester web site pal, gives all info on all clocks etc. think they are about £70 made by worcester and available in all parts centres or plumbase.
