I have a wash basin, made from porcelain, which has a hole for the taps I bought that is small. I need to enlarge it, either the whole diamater or locally where the pipes go through, by about 6mm. Is there a tool that will do this?

Too dangerous - will almost certainly crack. Get different taps.
