I have got round to investigating the cracks in the Grouting in the shower cubicle.
Some small Mosaic tiles are loose, behind them is damp which has made rotten the plasterboard behind those tiles. The problem area seems to be no higher than 3 inches from the shower tray top and almost the length of one side of the cubicle. I tilled the shower myself about 3 years ago and PVA the plaster board before tiling.
I guess the grout is water resistent and not waterproof. I am starting to remove the lower tiles and will clean up the sealant on the tray edge.
Was thinking of removing the old plasterboard and replacing the damp section with special Aquapanel board if possible. What can I treat it with to ensure any cracks in the grouting in the future don't result in damp plasterboard.
Many Thanks
