I need to grout a small area of really heavily-pitted mosaic tiles border. They are a bit like this only more pits.

Is there any way of NOT getting grout into all those holes??!?

You can seal the mosaic before fixing - seal only the surface and allow to dry before fixing - some tilers seal with two coats.
Grout bags can be used but the grout has to be runny (dries weak) and its time consuming.

Or no, live with it as a decorative aspect.
