A few questions for you heating experts. I might be having to change my 10 year old+ Grundfos UPS 2 15-50/60 central heating pump due to a possible low flow problem. Looking online, the price for a genuine pump varies considerably. I’ve seen them as low as £85 and as high as £449! What’s all that about? What should I be paying for one and why the wild variation in price - sometimes the UPS 3 is cheaper than the 2? Also, I’ve seen that UPS 3 15-50/60 is a direct replacement for the UPS 2, again with a wide variety of prices.
Is a ten year old pump getting near to the end of its useful life and if you were changing it, what would you go for?
