GSM Antenna for Diallers

I want to change the GSM antenna on a Pyronix V2 GSM.

Instead of the silly little sticky backed flat encased PCB type aerial that they come with, I'd like to use something that looks a little more 'the part'.

I'm thinking of perhaps some kind of stubby type antenna on a simple bracket that can be mounted above the V2.

Has anybody else ever tried this? Any suggestions for a suitable product? What is the name of the mini coax connector used connect it to the PCB? Is it a UFL or a MMCX? I'm pretty sure its not a SMA.

Yeah, that's the problem! I can't name the connector I know what it isn't (F, SMA, BNC, TNC, PL259) .... but I don't know what it is....... anyone?
