its definately not VIR. it feels a little bit like heat resistant flex

It could be, itm is pretty toug stuff, there is a tape inside it which states that it is heat resistant to 85c

Not 1.74 or 1.78mm either (i misread the micromoeter) like i said, the whole place is wired up in it.
FP100 or high temp silicone rubber. I have found pics of the silicone stuff and it looks like it. As we all know drawings and plans alter but the original spec called for FP100.
