Hello

I have a downpipe that leads water to a flat roof, and I want to direct it elsewhere.

The photo shows...I want the water to go through the opening on the right. There is a "catcher" just through there, which will then take it down to the ground and to safety!

What do I need to buy to make this happen? Two of these https://www.diy.com/departments/flo...-5-offset-downpipe-bend-dia-68mm/81474_BQ.prd and one of these https://www.diy.com/departments/floplast-black-round-downpipe-l-2-5m-dia-68mm/90051_BQ.prd ?

Never done this sort of thing before...would appreciate some advice.

Thanks

Christopher

Yes, couple of bends and a bit of pipe. 68mm downpipe should be fairly standard, but you may find the new bends are a slightly awkward fit with the old stuff, if too tight, sandpaper the outside of the old pipe to reduce the external diameter slightly for ease of fitting.

Would be advisable to put a self tapping screw through the collar of the bend into the pipe just to hold the joints together, unless you want to be really professional and solvent weld them!

Your 'Catcher' is probably what is termed in the trade as a 'Hopper'.

Hi Hugh, I'm sorry for the slow reply. Thanks, this looks really great - very helpful.
