Hi ,today a worker on site came looking for a halogen bulb 500w ,he said two had already blown yesterday first one in about an hour replaced it and second lamp only lasted 5 mins.I asked did he touch the surface with bare hands and he admitted he had (didnt know better) and also he had the fitting (tripod type)up in a loft so it could of been at an angle not 180 degrees would any of these factors cause the lamps to blow so quickly ???
Thanks for any answers
