Hi,
I recently replaced the leaking valves that connected my Halstead Quattro to the CH loop. Necessarily I had to drain the system and refill.
Since I have refilled it sounds like there is air in the system. I have bled the radiators and the pump and assumed the AAV would vent anything inside the boiler. I checked the AAV inside the combustion chamber and there's a bit of blue/green muck and scale around the plastic knob. I have tried adjusting the knob but it's stuck fast... won't budge.
I didn't want to jump in with pliers in case the plastic knob snapped off... anybody have any advice? It looks like a pain to replace, just because it's hard to get to.
Cheers,
Ben
