Handbasins too low?

I always shudder, when I'm in a hotel loo, and someone leaves a cubicle, without even thinking of washing their hands, then after you have been eating the peanuts at the bar, you see the guy you saw earlier diving in...URGH!!!

it's the same with your taps at home..
they aren't usually the push type so you turn them on with whatever germs are on your hands, wash your hands, then turn them off getting the germs right back on you.. kind of defeats the object..
as for low basins, at 6 foot 4 it's the washing up that kills me..
at mom and dads house I used to have to put another bowl upside down under the one with the washing up in ..
now I've got my own place I re-did the kitchen and set all of the counter tops at 1000mm from finished floor level, 100mm higher than normal..
