How do I hang a large bevelled mirror 1610mm X 1140mm (63.5" x 45")on a chimney breast over a fireplace? I don't want any visible brackets or screws.

I've always used mirror plates but for really heavy mirrors, I think you'd need strap-hangers. Scroll down this link to see what I mean http://www.picturehanging.com/general-hanging.shtml
