I've ready loads of posts on this and can't seem to find a definite answer.

Hardie website says use grip fill with screws as mechanical fix

Other people say dot and dab and use frame screws through that. Like sound of that as will take out uneven bits.

In your experiences What is the best method for securing hardiebacker to breeze block wall?

Thanks

I'd use Dot & Dab with tile adhesive & mechanically fix through the dabs.

Grip fill might be okay if the wall is very flat but tile adhesive would probably still be easier & better.

Seems that d&d plus screws into brown wall plugs has worked a treat, thanks
