Has Trump Finally Lost His Marbles?

Farage stated that the UK govt previously advised them that it was legally necessary to give the islands away. The US believed the UK, thinking we were giving reliable advice.

Since then they've had advice that the UK's advice was false, hence the change of attitude, and huge annoyance with the UK govt for lying.

There we go - our international reputation, built up over decades, trashed by an incompetent dodgy bunch of amateurs.

Trump said at his press conference yesterday evening that, when he approved the deal, he thought the UK was keeping ownership rather than leasing.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Have you considered that Farage either might not know the details or might not be telling the truth.

The suggestion that the USA, under two different Presidents, didn't take their own legal advice about one of their most important strategic assets is infantile in the extreme.

Hopefully Starmer hasn't actually signed anything, so they can do their standard u-turn on this policy along with the rest. But there are no limits to his incompetence so who knows if we can get out of this hole.

Mauritius has already told its people that 80% of them won't need to pay income tax, just because of the stupidly vast amount we had promised to pay them for 100 years for doing nothing.

The deal is signed. But it still needs to be ratified by Parliament to come into effect. So, it's not too late to stop it.

This is what Trump said last night:

Trump is asked if despite the fact he previously backed the UK's plans, if it is now his position that this deal should not go ahead.

Trump says when the UK originally planned to the move it was "talking about some concept of ownership", whereas now it's "looking to essentially do a lease and sell it" - something which he says he's against.

It's irrelevant what trump says about the deal, which changes seemingly around his 'time of the month' issues...

If he wants the islands he'll just steal them!
