Haye vs Chisora

Nice to see you back!
thanks, but i've never been away !!
No I went to the pub to watch it. I got pulled in even though I thought it was atrocious that it was allowed to take place considering how they behaved at the klitscko meloarcy.
I couldn't agree more... !!

Are you stopping up to watch Khan?

No, I'm at home now a little worse for ware but refuse to pay £15 to see a 3 - 4 round fight. I will be watching on you tube tomorrow for free! Don't see it kicking off til around 5:00!

Coverage starts at 2:00! Fights before and waiting for the main fight will take a while. Don't see the actual khan fight kicking off till at least 4 more likely 5! Vegas is a pain for accurate fight times!

Didn't realise the Khan fight was on sky sports 1, thought it was box office.

Never mind, I think that's him finished know. Watched it on YouTube this morning. No coming back from that I'm afraid.

He has 26 wins and three defeats and he is only 25.
He was beaten by another world champion so why on earth would he be finished???

Muhammad Ali lost 5 fights in his career and some people consider him the greatest......

29 fights and only 2 worth while opponents which he lost to. He is very fast but when he comes up with somebody with a half decent chin then his power lets him down. His style of fighting leaves him open to overhand left's and right's and when you've got a glass jaw like Khan then that is really dangerous. He looks good with his style but I feel it flatters him a bit due to the opponents he has faced.

Ok lets turn this round a bit, what do you think his next step would be and who would you think would be a good opponent for his next fight? Bare in mind it will have to be against a decent fighter to try and gain some credibility back!

There all decent fighters at that level!! Would you like to fight one??
Personally if i was him i wouldnt give a flying if my next opponent was decent i would just want to build my confidence back up i wouldnt be to fussed what everyone thought at minute as that would destroy me!!

Did you actually see the fight??
The first knockdown that done him wasnt even on his jaw it was behind his ear almost nor the last one that was on his temple!!

Just to add i would argue about you saying he only had two worthwhile opponents and he lost.
Malinaggi and Barrera at least were very worthwhile fighters he beat.

So he's got a weak ear, temple as well as chin. Hardly a recipe for success. :D

To be honest i dont doubt he is suspect in some departments but he is world class in others.
I just think us Britons do as we always do and dont back people when they fall. Someone loses and all of a sudden there finished!!
Look at Lewis when Rahman beat him everyone said thats it then he came back and beat Holyfield, Tyson etc after being beaten for a second time in between!!!
I think Khans main problem is overconfidence.

The problem with your logic is that he will/has lost the respect of the american market which means that getting a big pay day fight in america could now be a problem. What is the point of going back fighting no marks now? Surely if he is to continue then his best choice would be to step up a weight and see if he could get a title fight against Malignaggi, who he has beaten before! I don't really fancy his chances against the likes of Perez or Morales or any of the contending super lightweights!

The difference here is Lewis was an outstanding fighter and just didn't perform in this fight. Fighting the likes of Holyfield and Tyson were only money fights. They had passed their peaks a long time before and were really no challenge. Khan however seems to like the look of the canvas as when ever any body catches him with a half decent punch he takes a closer look.

I think Khans main problem is overconfidence.

Could quite easily be a reason why he leaves his chin open when going for combo's. But that does not take away the fact that he is not able to soak up punches!
