I am wondering if this heat exchanger (DHW) section could be cleaned by adding a hose to point 33 and pumping non toxic cleaner into it and then having a hose from the other exit point going into a bucket and circulating the cleaning fluid for a period of time , othewise I don't see how it can be cleaned , I don't think it's worth removing it

Yes your local friendly GSR engineer should be able to remove it and do it with the right chemicals

I've managed to set this up recently and the process of pumping water through goes really well , however Ive only used the stuff you put into radiators to flow through the system and it's only partially shifted the muck , has anybody got any suggestions of what I could manually pump through so that it would clean the heat exchanger , i don't live in a hard water area otherwise I'd use descaler , would that be a good idea anyway ?
