Hi,

Need to fit a towel rail into a bathroom, the room is an odd shape and they want to keep the existing radiator.

My question, can I tee of from the flow and return of the existing rad and run the pipes to the towel rail?

The house has old floor boards, so I can lift these and run the new pipework under them.

Cheers

you can
providing their is not any other rads teed of that rad.

(in other words you can only tee of one rad a certain amount of times)

You can run a total of about 4Kw off a 15mm pipe, so unless the bathroom rad is massive I forsee no problems for you.

Thanks guys, forgot to mention that the pipe work is that damn 10mm stuff, does this affect things?

Don't tee into 10mm pipe. You need to go back to the 15 or 22mm pipes and run in 20mm from these
