Hello All.
I have a problem which I suspect may affect a lot of us. Basically, I have my central heating thermostat (which deals with the radiators for the whole house) located in the hallway downstairs. However, the downstairs of my house tends to get much cooler than the upstairs. This means that sometimes the heating will come on when we really don’t need it upstairs.
Thinking back on it, when we fitted the radiators, we should have put one thermostat upstairs and one downstairs, but it's too late to do that now (since all the walls have been plastered and decorated).
Does anyone have any ideas regarding how I might be able to deal with this, without having to run a new thermostat down two floors to the current thermostat/system?? Am I being really thick here?
Incidentally, I've seen 'wireless thermostats' on tinternet but don’t know anyone who has used one. Also (and I appreciate that this might sound daft) I’m not sure I’m too keen on wireless systems filling the house with signals and I also doubt if it would work very well as the signal would have a really pretty large distance to cover in my house – about 4 floors in total).
Any advice really appreciated.
