Heating Pump

I am new on here and wondered if any one can help.
My central heating works fine for a while and then after a while once the stat has switched off and then when heating comes on again all rads do not heat up. I can cure this by bleeding the circulation pump and then all rads heat up again for about 8-10 hours until same problem.
I have recently fitted a heatmiser programmable stat but doubt this has caused the problem or has it or is my pump just knackered!!
Pump is a Pegler about 3 years old and open system serving 12 rads.

Have you checked that your header tank is full?

If so have you checked that the pipe to the system from it is not blocked?

Thanks Tony havent tried that yet only bleeding the pump each time it happens, guess its a trip up into the loft ASAP
